About me - Sebastian von Seba's Antorium

I was already fascinated by insects as a child - much to my parents' annoyance, I was constantly bringing all kinds of creepy-crawlies home with me. It didn't matter which size, color or the number of legs they had. Eventually, I became particularly fond of ants. They could be found everywhere and were always doing something. The way they cooperated, their coordination, their sheer endless determination: I could simply spend hours watching them being busy in our garden or in the wild.

At the age of 14, I got my first ant - a Lasius niger queen. However, every beginning is tough and many things went wrong. There was no help, little know-how and even less internet access. Now I keep over 20 species, both native and exotic - varying in size, color and behavior. Every colony is unique and every species has different requirements. That's what makes keeping ants so exciting. And that is exactly what flows into the products from Seba's Antorium - modular systems, safe setups, easy expansion. This enables you to optimally support the life of your colony.

Ant keeping is more than just a hobby for me. It's the fascination of witnessing how an entire empire develops from a single queen. And that's exactly what I want to share with you.
